The horizontal stand is stupid but otherwise I love it. Efficient use of space at last with components packed in compactly while still preserving the necessary cooling and repairability. I like that racing stripe look, too. I no longer cringe when looking at the thing.
I’m going to bet they switched to a regular SSD controller as the custom one is no longer required?

On a more serious note. I'm thinking of finally playing Bloodborne in December. How difficult is it compared to other soulslikes? I assume I won't get anyone to summon after so many years, so will most likely have to get through it myself.
Still custom but less chips according to tear downs.
I feel like they missed an opportunity with the spidey special edition. Should’ve made that for the slim and sell those as the only way to get the slim ‘early’.
The controller and shells for the OG could’ve still been sold separately.

There is a Facebook Bloodborne group thats still very much active, you'll definitely find someone. In terms of difficulty, its more or less the same. If you going for plat, the Chalice dungeons are going to be a bit of a challenge since you have to do them, other than that . . . goodluck!

There is a Facebook Bloodborne group thats still very much active, you'll definitely find someone. In terms of difficulty, its more or less the same. If you going for plat, the Chalice dungeons are going to be a bit of a challenge since you have to do them, other than that . . . goodluck!

Absolutely nothing. No lights, no sounds.
Unplugged it for a minute or 2 to see if that does anything, but nothing.
It even was plugged into one of those Ellis surge protectors (and I am on hybrid inverter/battery)
Super annoying.
Guess I am gonna have to go visit Mark at Console Doctor (that's gonna be a blast from the past)

That pic of the old one is with a third party faceplate (Dbrand dark plates) and that in black does look sexy imo. I can’t justify spending the extra 2k (plates + shipping) for that cosmetic upgrade. Rather get 1tb storage instead if I’m throwing more cash at it.
The white popped collar look is polarising especially when it’s clearly designed to be stood up and now they’re basically asking slim owners to put it on its side (or pay extra for the stand) which is where it really looks ugly af.
Is it not under warranty? PartServe will replace the console so I’d check with them first. I assume you were using it and load shedding hit?
Thats the problem, never leave it in sleep mode. Is there no way you can reset the ps5, try this press and hold
the Playstation console power button for 15 seconds.

Huh? Mine has been on sleep mode and same for the Xbox and they haven’t just suddenly died. Have an inverter so maybe that’s saving them?
My ps4 never game me problems, my ps5 did though, and was totally dead, did the 15 to 20 second power press and hold, then a beep that was music to my ears, and it powered on.I have never put it in sleep mode since.
just sharing my experience.
Sleep mode is fine, it's designed to be used like that.
I've done the usual things like leave it unplugged for a couple of minutes, hold the button, etc.
It's dead.
Sorry man, have you checked the power supply cable? Must be frustrating for you, these consoles are not cheap.
I hope you get it sorted, keep me updated man.
