PS5

Obviously, because I bought GTA5 this month, it would appear on PS+...you're welcome. I am actually excited to get SoP, it's got the cheesiest cringe story imaginable but the people behind Nioh made the game, so the combat is absolutely nutty

Thank you for your sacrifice. but did we not get it for free on PS+ when it launched cause I have it in my library?

Any must have games you guys can recommend ?

This seems like a good deal

So you agree you posted nonsense and then tried to lecture me on 'facts' without doing 5mins of basic research on the topic, just because I laughed at your post? You now admit that MS doesn't even release this information but that didn't stop you from posting it in a deceitful graph in the first place?

Honestly, I'm quite surprised.

Also that is not the OG article or source of the graph, the graph was posted around 20 Sept. and included actual warnings and caveats like this:
I have to agree with you here.

What a good example of misleading statistics.

The green bars are not comparing apples with apples, operating income and net income is not the same thing and accountibility margin is an internal MS measure that no one really knows exactly how it is determined (this makes it for all intended purposes a useless metric)

As already said, Microsoft is very selective in what data it releases on its various divisions and, while it does disclose certain data like revenue and number of consoles sold, it does not disclose profit from gaming.

The only fairly reliable source of MS gaming profit margins came from Phil Spencer when said during court proceedings at the Activision trial that the Xbox business operates at a "single-digit profit margin".

Sony's G&NS had a 12.5% profit marging in 2020 and 2021 according to the financial statements and corporate report. 2022 was below 10% , 2022 was negatively impacted by the expenses from the Bungie acquisition.

If one actually reads the transcripts and news articles about the Activision trial, Phil Spencer tried very hard to paint a picture of MS struggling in their gaming divisions thanks to pressure from Sony.

What sort of games do you like playing?

Decents lists above, previous favourites includes Tony hawk PS 1-4, Crash Bandicoot, Teken 3, NFSU 2, Splinter Cell, Fifa 03. These were all back in the day on my Ps 2. Realistically I would prefer to only own a few games and master then as I will have limited time play.

Currentnly have MW 3 so looking at maybe also getting Street Fighter 6 (unless its better to wait for the new Teken) and God of War

Ah right, was more wondering if you're looking for any particular genre (open world RPG, Soulslike etc.)

Honestly, there are just too many games to suggest! But if you have a PS+ sub, then check out these PS4/5 games:
  • Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection (you might want to play the first few ones though)
  • Kena: Bridge of Spirits
  • Tetris Effect: Connected
  • Marvel's Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition & Miles Morales
Other than that, Demon's Souls (if you like a challenge) and Returnal (again, only if you really like a challenge) are also all great games, Returnal is probably my favourite PS5 game to date. I have also left out the Horizon games (Forbidden West & Zero dawn) as personally I haven't played them yet, but they're also quite liked.

Unfortunately I don't think God of War (2018) is on PS+ anymore, but you can buy it for very cheap nowadays, I highly recommend playing that as well, it's such an experience.

Also best to check this list, it's constantly updated and as you can see there really is a ton of games.

For you guys that might have a challenge on the front of the PS5 console, with the USB and USB-C so close to one another. So my issue came in when I got the Nacon controller ... it as an external dongle for wireless, to be plugged into the front of the console. When doing this, the Arctis 7P+ dongle doesnt fit, as it is a elongated dongle thingy. So I plugged that in the back through the extension USB-C cable you get with the headset.

But now I don't have a spot at the back for the controllers USB cable (other port has a 4Tb external drive connected for the PS4 games).

So enter THIS:

Got it delivered today, and works like a charm, so now the Arctis dongle goes over the Nacaon USB dongle

Neither of those need to be in the front though?

Sticking out dongles in the front of consoles are a recipe for disaster.

Best to have them in the front for better connectivity.
Either way, there is no USB C at the back, so yeah, I need to use the the front.
Console is receded into the cabinet so nothing sticking out

Will make no difference at all for connectivity but fair point on the USB-C, but it sounded like it came with an adaptor for that.

With two high-speed routers on top of the cabinet, I tend to get some interference.
Yes, there is an adapter, but then I lose one of my USBs at the back, and the USB-C in the front is just sitting there, not being used

Ahh Thanks I see there is a trial might give it a go.

@prod Was looking at this God of War Ragnorok not sure if I need to play the firts ones aswell ?

Ragnarök is a continuation of God of War (2018), At that price (R600) it's a steal but you definitely need to play 2018 first.

As for the older games (2013 and earlier), you don't need to play them for this story - 2018 was when the series was rebooted with a whole new story and setup.
