PS5

I really hate that MS thinks it is a good idea to try to buy Nintendo or Valve. Those are sovereign companies and it disgusts me that they’d even consider it.

Consider me a Pony from today onwards.

That's 6 month old news. Also, a Switch 3 with Gamepass sounds amazing.

And while we're discussing disgusting things, I really hate that Sony paid Blizzard to keep 2 custom loadout slots in COD exclusive to PS, despite trying to portray themselves as wanting fairness and equality in the merger court case.

Oh look, an Xbot. Is this what I sounded like? I’m ashamed.

Ah right, was more wondering if you're looking for any particular genre (open world RPG, Soulslike etc.)

Honestly, there are just too many games to suggest! But if you have a PS+ sub, then check out these PS4/5 games:
  • Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection (you might want to play the first few ones though)
  • Kena: Bridge of Spirits
  • Tetris Effect: Connected
  • Marvel's Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition & Miles Morales
Other than that, Demon's Souls (if you like a challenge) and Returnal (again, only if you really like a challenge) are also all great games, Returnal is probably my favourite PS5 game to date. I have also left out the Horizon games (Forbidden West & Zero dawn) as personally I haven't played them yet, but they're also quite liked.

Unfortunately I don't think God of War (2018) is on PS+ anymore, but you can buy it for very cheap nowadays, I highly recommend playing that as well, it's such an experience.

Also best to check this list, it's constantly updated and as you can see there really is a ton of games.

Took the plunge and got the PS+ Deluxe. Downloading God of War and Everybody's Golf now, will definately check out Ghost of Tsishima and Death Stranding next

PlayStation 5 Pro AI Upscaling Support Seemingly Confirmed by Recent Marvel’s Wolverine Leak

The PlayStation 5 Pro is likely to support AI upscaling in some form, judging from a leaked Marvel's Wolverine slide that's been making the rounds online.

The slide, which is part of the huge Insomniac Games leak from last month, details some of the tech the game will feature or that's being investigated. Alongside film-quality facial animation, better destruction, real-time damage and regeneration, real-time global illumination, dynamic weather and foliage, deformable surfaces, and improved locomotion, the game starring one of Marvel Comics' most beloved heroes is also going to feature AI upscaling powered by machine learning, and a 60 frames per second base framerate in performance ray tracing mode. As the PlayStation 5 doesn't feature any dedicated hardware to support AI upscaling, it is extremely likely it will only be supported on the PlayStation 5 Pro. It's also most definitely not referring to AMD FSR support, as the tech is not powered by machine learning, unlike NVIDIA DLSS.

This isn't the first time it has been suggested that the PlayStation 5 Pro will support AI upscaling, as a recent leak revealed how the console will have dedicated hardware for it. While the leak may not be entirely accurate, it is believable regarding the console's CPU, as the rumored Zen 2 CPU makes the most sense, given how other chips would bring the manufacturing costs high.

Personally I think this Wolverine leak is just creating early hype for the game, and is not going to do it any harm.

If anyone is stupid enough to go look at plot lines now, then they would be stupid enough to research spoilers once the game is released even assuming this current leak didn't take place.

My PS5 Only runs for about 10-20 seconds then I get a black screen

Recovery mode does not have the same issue.

Things I have done thus far.

*Updated Firmware (recovery mode)
*Rebuild database and clear cache (recovery mode)
*Reset the System (recovery mode)

Please see YouTube link below. It would be awesome to get some help regarding this.

FYI:PS5 stays on when this happens and when pushing down the power button I get 3 beeps then I need to force shutdown the console by holding power button.

Best would be to take it to Partserv if you outside the Swap-out period from original seller.

Willing to bet the "machine learning" part is a typo/miscommunication of some sort and the actual tech is AMD FSR3.

Just want to find out if PS Now (streaming to PC) is available in SA yet?

PS Now was moved into what is called PS Plus Premium, which you don't get in SA. In SA we get the cheaper version without cloud streaming called Deluxe, so nope, unfortunately not.

Thanks, pity.

Oh, fluck it. Now it's my M.2 SSD that's acting up. PS5 says it tried to repair it; can't and needs to reformat. Reformat seems to be stuck at 25%.

Might be because I never put a heatsink on my 2TB Samsung.....oh, well, I'll pretend it wasn't me.
