PS5

They won't, y'all being ridiculous.

People will just keep their PS5s then
Until games for next gen are no longer being built for PS5, like what's happening now. If GTA 7 wasn't coming to PS5, do you still think people would keep their PS5?

There are many like me who don't want to get into the PC world. If they priced it at R25k, and there's no alternative, I would grudgingly pay for it...

So you're telling me Sony is going to more than double the price of a PS5 just if MS stops making hardware?

It's not that great. I'm glad I played it on Game Pass and didn't buy it. If it does come to PS5 then I'd highly recommend waiting for a good special.

I don't get it man, the Starfield thread has 2K worth of posts, so people must be enjoying it, based on that alone besides the all the hype generated at launch.

It's decent, not great, until you get to the endgame. Then there's nothing to do. Probably 7/10 for the main campaign and then 3/10 after that. The replayability is a variation of the NG+ mechanic...

Erm I have news for you.....

Unless you into Fifa or Fort knight you need to move on. :)

It hasnt been switched on for months (last game I played on it was GoW: R).

I cannot justify getting a PS5 when I have a Series X - the PS5 won’t see enough gametime to justify the cost given all the other games that I haven’t played yet (even though I’d love to play some of the exclusives).

Yes I mainline Xbox <-- no secret
But PS5 sure has some great exclusives, eg Stellar Blade that I finished just 2 weeks back also the new GoW, Ratchet and Clank, Spiderboy Miles not to even mention Final Fantasy. <-- all games making it worth owning one.

Considering Sony is baffled by why half of PSN is still on PS4 four years into the PS5's life cycle, it could down to the actual price of the current console.

Half of All PlayStation Gamers Are Yet to Upgrade to PS5, Sony Stats Reveal

As pointed out by Game File’s Stephen Totilo, Sony announced this week that PlayStation has 118 million monthly active users (MAUs), up 9% year-on-year, but around half of those are still on the 11-year-old PlayStation 4. PS5 has sold over 59 million units since going on sale in November 2020, and it has yet to see a price cut. Infact, Sony has raised the price of the console.

Very true in my company
Of all the console owners only 2 on PS5 the other 8 all on PS4 still (cause price huge hurdle for casual gamers)
3 have Nintendo Switch
and yes I am the only one that also own an Xbox.

I started the thread... and eventually gave up on the game... 40 odd hours in.
Nuff said.

Very repetitive. Too many load screens. Not enough to do. Enemies all too similar.
My current rating would probably be 7/10.
Very good graphics and buttersmooth action. Loads of potential to grow with mods and planets being filled with actual fun stuff to do and explore. But at the moment it's just a bit too meh imo.

Edit: Not a train smash admitted. But we all expected a classic 9/10 or even 10/10 game. They overpromised and under delivered.

Yea but this is my point. They want you to buy consoles, especially the new ones. They are not going to more than double the price, that is just crazy talk.

Mark Cerny literally just did an interview where he talks about the price and how important it is to deliver a 'nice package', they know it won't sell if they don't.
