The PS5 Pro has no shortage of skeptics and critics, and thanks to its price tag, there will be many who won’t be considering picking up the console once it comes out next month. At the same time, there’s a sizeable and dedicated portion of the PlayStation audience that is very much going to be interested in the console, and it seems like its pre-launch sales are reflecting that.

On Amazon US, the PS5 Pro is currently the bestselling console, as well as the #1 bestseller in the PlayStation category. As far as gaming hardware is concerned (not including accessories), it is followed in the charts by the Quest 3 and the base PS5.

The PS5 Pro is, of course, by definition targeting the most dedicated and engaged section of the PlayStation fanbase, so it’s not surprising to see the console hinting at solid sales ahead of launch in spite of the abundant criticism it has attracted since its announcement. How well it maintains that momentum following its launch should be interesting to see.

I haven't enjoyed the UI from the start. The PS3 and PS4 were much cleaner and user friendly...
