How are they forcing you to do anything, did they put a gun against your head? And by that very wide definition 90% of the companies in the world would be anti-consumer

Gamepass eat game sales yes not hardware sales.

Why buy an Xbox if you can play the game on PC or PS5..... <-thats what killing console sales

Sure but I was talking MS in general not just their console.
Without gamepass day one launches. their game sales may have made up for the lower console sales.

Not to that extreme but they are forcing you if you want to play that specific game you need to go out and buy that specific console.
Exclusives are inheritably something console gamers are ok(some may say love) with while pc gamers absolutely despise , as we can see from the different reaction to this news by ps players compared to how pc players reacted to epic exclusives.

Most industries are anti consumer, companies are profit driven not consumer driven. Corporations are not our friends.
The only exclusives that are ok is if there is an actual technical limitation that prevents wider distribution, not the case here.

Sorry what? PC players hate exclusivity but the biggest digital platform on PC thrives on it? Unless you can show me how Valve embraces other platforms, this is just massive hypocrisy. As I said earlier, I look forward to playing HL3 on my PS5, or even Deadlock. And why haven't they ported Alyx to PSVR2? Why could Valorant come to consoles but CS can't? Are they just being anti consumer?

Valve owns basically the entire PC market, and their fans are fine with exclusivity to maintain the status quo. It seems like it's just a problem when it comes to consoles/Sony.

So it's either all exclusivity is bad, or there are cases where it makes sense. You can't really pick and chose to fit your narritive

and great studios can produce great games on a single platform as well, Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Insomniac, Santa Monica Studios, Housemarque, its the staple of the Playstation ecosystem.

Very disappointing yes and at some point BP pitched a Bloodborne remake to Sony, and although Sony owns the IP, the decision ultimately lies with FromSoftware, they said NO WAY! No one's touching Bloodborne except Miyazaki.

Where are all these Steam users advocating for exclusives? Can you point them out?

I completely disagree. It's bad for the gamer who doesn't own a PS console. So get one.

That's the whole point. Sony is a commercial entity that is trying to make money.

It's not a goddamn charity for gamers.

Typical PC users who want everything so cheap it's basically free - coz they need their cash to keep on updating their precious PC's to keep up :)

Where did I bat for anyone? I use Steam, PS and Nintendo. I literally don't give a hoot where you play your games or spend your money, a curtesy not usually spared for console plebs by the god PC gamers, as evident by some contributions in this thread. But please don't try and tell me Steam users hate exclusivity, what you mean is they hate anything that doesn't come to their platform of choice, even though they share no qualms when their platform of choice don't support other platforms either.

If they brought GT7 to steam I think they would absolutely coin.
 
I see the new report that PS is stopping PC development due to the new steam box.

Gaming is my hobby. I have interest in gaming. I watch gaming YouTube every day. I look at gaming subs. I look at GAF. I play games when I have time to.

Guess what I do when I see gaming related threads pop up New Posts tabs.

Now now, it's ok, take your time. I know you'll find the answer eventually...
