Just heard a report on Eye Witness News that the Public Protectors office was raided by police yesterday.

A spokesman from the police apparently stated this was unauthorised and is being investigated.

I'm sure there will be more on this during the course of the day.

A Police Crime Intelligence Unit has raided the offices of the public protector just days after it released a report into a R500million property deal involving National Police Commissioner General Bheki Cele.

The raid took place on Wednesday and the officers were allegedly searching for documents relating to the report.

Cele’s office has condemned the raid saying it did not authorise it and will take urgent steps against those involved.

The General 's denial is hollow.

Bheki Cele is without a doubt the most dangerous man in South Africa at the moment.

Its a bit worrisome.
Agent things I was taught by agents that teach make me think of Reichstags burning and the Night of the Long Knives...

Let me get this straight. The PP releases a statement against the police chief. The police raid the PP's office without any apparent orders.
The police chief disavows knowledge.

What's next? Purges a-la Socialist Germany to get rid of any political/percieved threat to a persons power?

this is very concerning to say the least. cele painting himself into a corner here
