Punch-drunk Eskom at a standstill

Own interests above anything else, while South Africa burns.

While I was driving this morning, admiring the beautiful surroundings, I thought to myself : Imagine the high hopes the first settlers had for this splendid piece of earth, and how badly that has derailed into a land ruled by sleazy criminals and thugs.

What a shockingly sad contrast.

From another article ..

This week Business Day reported that Tsotsi had appointed Linnell on Zuma’s personal recommendation, and that when Tsotsi motivated to suspend the four executives, he did it “at Zuma’s bidding”.

The big Induna strikes again, soon there will be nothing left of this country because of him.

I fear that we're heading for a catastrophic meltdown...

Jeez...they had better fix that political mess at the top fast...you can't run a corner shop with this level of uncertainty:

Decision-makers at plant and provincial level say they fear the consequences of acting on instructions that came from head office this week, which is apparently being run by Tsotsi, if he is ultimately ousted by the board. Similarly, they dare not assume that Matona’s last orders have any standing, because he, in the words of one, “could not have been kicked out for no reason”.

...let alone a national grid.

My heart went out to the local inhabitants of South Africa when the first settlers arrived. Can anyone imagine what went through their minds. Who are these people, what do they want........
Spend more quality time with our local people and your understanding would grow.

Yeah. Those poor guys. I can imagine the first time they spotted a Bantu settlement while out hunting...
