Hi everyone,

Basically what the title says. Can anyone please suggest a business that pre-builds gaming PCs based on what parts I select? Typically, I buy a high-end gmaing PC every 4 years and I used to get this done by Evetech, but after their returns policy fiasco that was exposed here on MyBB I don't think I want to do business with them anymore. I also had some issues with their quality assurance process on my last machine that resulted in me having to go back in a couple of times for them to fix their mistakes and seeing that they've moved their premesis further away I do not think it would be worthwhile getting a machine from them this time.

So I'm looking for businesses that aren't Evetech and actually do know what they're doing. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Please note that I do not want to build the machine myself, I'm not a techncian and do not want to take the risks of handling/assembling expensive PC hardware.

Wootware
Rebeltech
Progenix
Thanks for the reply. Wootware was going to be my first choice after I browsed their website. Turns out that they're based in CT and that won't work in the event that there's an issue with the machine and it has to be sent back.

/me waves in Progenix

I have an estimated 2,000 to 3,000 builds behind my name (there was a time I was doing 10-20/day for schools and corporate) with returns in the low single digit percents. Everything from basic Celerons with iGPU to dual CPU, quad GPU workstations.

All builds go out with a build report:

Can vouch for this man, have dealt with him multiple times and would again.

Not everyone has problems with them.

Those muslim owners laughed in my face when I asked for a refund - a semi-faulty ram module according to the RAM checker software, and a cheaper SSD than was promised on the website.

No thanks, I'm with wootware all the way now. No complaints and their builds are very neat and tidy.

I'm Joburg-based and bought a pre-built from Wootware. Great service and luckily no issues for me.

Why would it be a big problem to pack it up and send it back if there’s a fault?

I'm about 5-600km away from Wootware and have had no issues with return and RMA. They paid for everything

With Evetech, when they put the incorrect RAM in my PC I took it in and watched them fit the correct RAM in.
A few days later I was there again because the cooler wasn't wired correctly and they again fixed it in front of me.
Both the above situations took place in the first week of purchase, but I was able to immediately take my PC home and continue gaming once the situation was resolved.

I understand that Wootware does offer great service and they stand by a customer friendly returns policy, but the fact that the PC has to get couriered to CT and back when/if I find a fault just doesn't work for me.

Perhaps not, but I'd rather err on the side of caution. If I'm going to spend more than R50K on gaming rig, I'd like to know that I'm protected in the event of something going wrong.

Evetech took my money for a system on Black Friday, then they went to ground, not answering phones nor emails for about 3-4 weeks. Finally an apology and eventually my system arrived. I won't buy anything from them during special runs again, the only time that I will do Evetech is if I can go there physically and leave with the product 15m later. Once bitten twice shy.

OP you can try Syntech as well.

PC International still around, used to get my stuff from them back in the day

You can also try Centurion Technology Support Services if you are local to Centurion or close by and want your warranty done locally without an issue their prices might not beat Evetech but the support will!
