It is probably worth checking the german amazon (amazon.de) too. It is amusing, even the Netherlands need to import everything, no local amazon either. So here we shop around the 3 (uk, us, de) to find cheapest and one that will ship. Often the UK still seems more expensive, and US often don't ship, DE is somewhere in the middle (depending on what you look for)

So tip is, set up your shipping address properly and log in, so it will instantly tell you whether it ships to SA and then search across the 3 sites (they are actually all different even though you log in with same account)

Been helpful reading all of this. Been comparing prices of GoPros and ours are seriously expensive here. Seems a lot cheaper to ship from Amazon. Might be looking into this now in Dec.

I also find it very frustrating when I'm interested in an item and the displays states. THIS ITEM DOES NOT SHIP TO ....... BLA BLA BLA...
