Purchasing Windows 10 - Is it a scam?

So I see some people selling Windows 10 at ridiculous prices, how are they able to do this? And are these keys legit?

2 Reasons,

- Fraud
- Flipping

Places like SCDKey's does the last mentioned. Flipping I don’t have an issue with, the keys were acquired through legitimate means but sold in other regions.

Flippers galore on BoB. Fraudulent keys may also be acquired and resold in other regions.

To date, I haven’t seen or heard about any third-party Windows key being suspended or terminated by MS.

MS ‘Partners’ cannot duck and dive the regional policies, they don’t appreciate their partners cheating the system and really like doing audits when they have their suspicions or have heard a whistle.

He means even an unactivated copy of Win 10 works - the only thing they disable is the themes

I got mine from @Flashgear for R350

Activated and working since March.

He sometimes has weekend specials for R200.

Or use an old Win 7 or Win 8 key you are no longer using and it's free.

And half of that price from eBay UK, I think I paid GBP3 for a Windows 10 Pro code last year, activated and still working perfectly.

A quick check shows some retailers are even cheaper now.

Who said anything about using non-MS tools to do anything? The key activated fine using the MS online activator and is still working perfectly almost a year later with the PC connected to the internet and doing all the MS updates...

Much like Microsoft doesn’t care about you running the Insider builds free forever they don’t care about you using the cheap keys.

They are in the services business now, not once off sales of operating systems to turn a profit.
