Push to block using phones while driving

An initiative in the United States wants to force car manufacturers and mobile phone makers to automatically block certain mobile services while driving

Interesting, but would be a lot simpler if people just used common sense and didn't use their phones while driving all on their own.

Well people can't stick to the law regarding cellphones all by themselves, what else is there to do?

That's why I suggested people use their own initiative but then again the amount of people who don't have common sense force governments in to these decisions.

I should be free to do anything on my phone while the car is moving - as long as I am a passenger. Wonder how they will enforce this, without making phones completely useless in cars for non-drivers.
