Hey all,

My panels are going up slowly but surely (it sure looks a hell of a lot easier than what it actually is :D) and the wife raised an interesting point now too... Insurance...

Am I right to presume that my *building* insurance would 'automatically' cover the PV panels (and inverter / batteries), as they are seen as non-removable fixtures to the building (just like a window, door, geyser, etc.), or would they specifically need to be specified together with my other *short term* insurance?

I specified my equipment for about R200k. Works out to about R150 extra per month.
