Q6600 Users Needed!!!

SIW + Speedfan+HWMonitor at 100% cpu usage - stock cooler q6600 + 2x 120mm + 2-3x 80mm fans (not sure on how many 80's :P)

This seems to be more normal dont see it going much past 70 under full load - maybe bios misreporting - maybe disabling automatic fan helped too - but this is more of a normal temp for this model right?

What is seen as unsafe or dangerous or hardware damaging on this model in terms of temps?

Thanks
J

I would not accept anything near high 60's or low 70's, get a decent after market hs and you will no longer have to worry. Might be nice seeing 70's under load now but what happens when ambient temp jumps 5 to 10 degrees then you in the 80's which will really suck :p

I have a Q6600 and even at idle my core temps don't drop below 60'C. Just ripped a DVD to DivX and the core used popped up to 83'C in no time. I have the Intel "stock" cooler on it at the moment. Looking to get a new cooler cause those are crazy numbers as I have 2 x 12cm system fans. Mind you my 8800 sits at around 64'C just running Vista (with Aero). My other problem is that Intel's Active management doesn't recognise my 975BX2 as an Intel mobo with Vista 64. Go figure!

Any recommendations on a reasonably priced water cooling system? Didn't spend a fortune on the rest of my component just to create the worlds most expensive braai.
