OMF 120 323 downloads so far off just this torrent tracker and another 20 000 in the queue!!! now saythere are probably at least 5 trackers of this size that will be 1 million odd downlaods totalling about R250 000 000 taken away from sales!

I think it is more like HL2, single player firstly with great re-playabilty as a MP game
 
From the sounds of it, it is exactly like Quake3. The announcer ("One Frag Left") is exactly the same as the old Quake3. Its just quake3 with better textures, so i would rather play FEAR...

thats not true ..... maybe 10 000 of those people might of bought the game another 200 000 or so will buy game if the like it to play online.....
 
yup alot of revenue will be lost


i dont know why they dont just sell games for 150

ppl would buy them and they would make just as much

No, single player continues from where Quake 2 left off. Multiplayer however might be the same as quake 3. I know they are porting the best maps accross. The primary purpose of Q4 is however the single player.

naa I disagree, Back in the days(school days) I bought many games becoz my teachers wife use to work for multimedia wharehouse (software distro company) and use to sell games for relatively cheap.

I bought them coz they cheap not coz I really had to have it. Now I will only buy blizzard games.....
 
i dont bother... get a pre-order and play other games until it arrives... whats the rush? do you get l33t status by playing a pirated copy of a game before its out?

as for single player... its too basic.. all reviews say that, i am only interested in the multiplayer aspect... at least when bots or updates are out the legit people will get it right... wonder what will the "test-before-i-buy" people do....

Whoops, meant to add that its the Multiplayer thats exactly the same, as in nearly carbon copy, of quake 3 :P hehehe, my bad
 
Just a thought.. You guys do know that these forums are public. going on about downloading illegal files can get you all into quiet a bit of trouble.. Just a warning.. but you need to be more careful about what you say and where you say it
 
Agree with Kalvaer...publicy "rating" that you are doing an illegal activity is really not how myADSL wants to be portrayed...
 
the whole reason of "trying" before buying is bull.. sorry but thats why exactly DEMO's are for and not some BETA or HACKED and CRACKED torrent file which you think will give you a true indication of the gameplay...

say you get game X and its so bad you dont buy it, but then a patch sorts out all the issues which had caused you NOT to buy the game and now for sure the patch wont work on the illegal copy you have. Thus you will loose out on a good game afterall.

my 2 cents...
