the release date on the site still says 18th (TODAY)... so who has it?

BT Games has delayed it till 28th of October.. the 18th is US release dates by the way...

10 days until uk release? i am sure easynews will do better than that...

here i am hoping for at least a 5 day delay... so maybe 23rd if we are lucky?

Well it seems the release got leaked allready, time to snatch it :)

It's out here in the UK this Friday (21st), so I'm sure that if Megarom have their **** together, it'll be out there this coming weekend too ?

Megarom are the distributors for Activision and they are usually around the same release dates as the UK.

Its out people!!!

EDIT: Oh yeah, from http://www.bluesnews.com/

well, easynews has it... :D:D:D:D

i need to practise the MP part of it. we have a big LAN this weekend, will be the perfect place to try it out.

yip... Raven seems to have not done the Quake series justice... perhaps we will have a MP Pack for Quake 4 later in the future... spitting single and multi player across a game only spoils it...

if Quake 4's multiplayer aint good its going straight to the trade in counter... :D

There's reasoning here, I think.

They are possibly holding back on the Multiplayer because of the ET:Quake Wars - http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/enemy-territory-quake-wars/

Unfortunatley, I think that the current Q4 multiplayer will be a damp squib as far as popularity goes, which is sad - it sounds like QuakeIII, except with more demanding system requirements.

It definately won't be popular.

I just finished quake4, what a freaken fun game :)

regarding multiplayer, I find alot of quake2 elements in it and thats why Im loving it.. Allready found multiple trick jump sections on various maps :D

Im going to play q4 mp, and im sure many others will

Can anyone here give some information on how Quake 4 performs on an ISDN line? (64Kbps)

Apparently they switched back to hitbox models - so I'm hoping it's not as laggy as Doom 3.

Actually people with broadband can test too, just use something like netlimiter and limit bandwidth for quake4.exe to 64kbps. :P

I far prefer FEAR to Quake 4... tried them both this weekend... played quake 4 for a couple of hours but it didn't dig it, played FEAR most the weekend, it rocks :)
