Anyone playing this?

I got the e-mail to BETA test it, signed up etc and played a bit of it.

Anyone else?
 
it's already out? i wanna see what a Q3 looks like with Burger King Adverts on the Spike Totems !
 
The BETA is out as of last night.
I didn't see any sort of advertising in the game but I only played for like 30 minutes.

I thought they were pioneering the idea of free gaming, with advertising?

maybe everyone will playing normally and then id Software flips a switch and everyone has to watch a fireworks show sponsored by coca cola, followed by a Burger eating contest?
 
I also got selected for the Beta, haven't played it yet though, but did complete my signup and account creation :)
 
Well, Keeper, like I said, I only played a bit, but I didn't see any advertising, maybe in other levels?!?

Try it and let me know 'eh.

Q3 was a cartoony blight on the franchise ...... and Quake-live looks like more of the same ... blegh

I think they used the "3" engine because most if not all PC's can play it now (graphics cards etc) without any problems.

"4" might be a problem... The idea would be to get as much of an audience as possible.
