Afrikaaners promoted Afrikaaners because they where Afrikaaners, not because they where the best. Look how that turned out. They screwed up the country so bad we ended up with the ANC.

Afrikanners did more for blacks in South Africa then all the other Europeans counted together. And that includes our dear and dead Margaret. In a way you are right though. It was the Afrikanner who put away the ANC and brought them back again. I don't think the problems you are having in South Africa are/were with the English or Afrikaaners. And sadly, I don't think it will get better either. Ok Ok I am a born pessimist.

Without transformation policy, I would not be where I am career-wise. Its not an absolute certainty though. Does this make me less professional than a Pilot/Doctor? Absolutely Not. .
