i have a dlink AP
and i run a Ethernet cable to it then from the AP to my pc with another cable can it slow down my internet on my pc and make the internet unstable so it

like
it goes from the router to the AP then from the AP to my pc
so i still can use Ethernet cable for internet and use the AP to get better signal in my room for wifi

can that router and AP setting,mix up and make my internet slower on my pc/phone?

cuz i pluged it in directly and it seemed like its a bit faster (my intenet)

so wonder if that can be the problem,the ap is next to my pc case so can it also be interference that plays a role or is it just a crash of setting between the 2

Your Internet speed is limited by the slowest node in the path, which is typically the ADSL/3G connection in South Africa, because the WiFi (802.11g or 802.11n) is dramatically faster than any ADSL/3G connection.

Like if your path to the Internet is as follow:
PC ---(100Mbps Ethernet)---> AP ---(100Mbps Ethernet)---> Router ---(4Mbps ADSL)---> Internet

Then your PC's Internet speed would be limited to 4Mbps due to the ADSL being the slowest link/bottleneck. The same would apply for a phone's Internet that it gets via WiFi with its path being something like the following:
Phone ---(54Mbps 802.11g WiFi)---> AP ---(100Mbps Ethernet)---> Router ---(4Mbps ADSL)---> Internet

The only otherway that you could negatively influence your Internet speed would be if someone else is copying data between 2 PC's connected to the AP at 100Mbps speeds, leaving no room for your PC's Internet connection via the AP.

eg. PC1 ---(100Mbps traffic)---> AP ---(100Mbps traffic)---> PC2
Your PC ---(100Mbps with no free bandwidth left) ---> same AP ---> Internet

Valid for ordinary hub. For true Ethernet switch traffic betwen PC1 and PC2 doesn't affect your PC connection. Maybe little-bit, not much.
