Question about changing kit

Okay, still noisy, but why do I get more noise? What did you use to convert then?

That's just how aperture pulled it in. I could try it with ACR if you like.

Changed from using photoshop to convert RAW to the Sony software, after being advised by someone on here (this actually helped a little). I now use noise ninja on all my photographs and I get acceptable results like that, but I need an upgrade.

All RAW converters are not created equal. Most camera manufacturers don't publish their RAW file specifications, any third party software vendor has to reverse-engineer it. Some have better results than other. I still get the best results with Canon DPP, but it's a turd to use and Aperture 3 is very much good enough to my taste.

I see the uneven blue - not sure what that is though, weather it's noise or some other effect.
