Question about contraceptives

Do keep in mind that you get different kinds of pills and that the popular ones aren't necessarily the best ones. The ones they supply at clinics are cheap, but particularly bad for things like weight-gain and mood-swings, so really go through the effort of doing some research before settling on a specific one.

Can i be honest here, the injection is way better and far more reliable. People say that if you on the injection you could gain some way but me personally have never experienced this. I got for the injection 1ce every 3 months, also the lady wont really experience that time of month, maybe just the occational spotting but nothing major.

ok, some wisdom, you need a script to get the pill from a pharmacy, the script will usually be a 6 month repeat and it is usually advised to have a pap smear at least once a year if you're on the pill to check for any abnormalities. Cost wise about R110 for 28 days worth of the decent stuff and you have to basically take it at the same time everyday for it to be effective. Side effects, a little weight gain and slightly bigger boobs.

and anyone that talks about skipping the "monthly", it is possible on the pill but not suggested.

and lastly, its pretty nice not having to worry about the whole thing :D

I hope you know the pill and injection both make women gain weight. On the pill her boobs will be bigger and on the injection smaller. With the injection she will stop getting her period and PMS but she won't enjoy sex as much. If you choose the pill you need to find the right one for her because the wrong strength pill can turn her into an evil witch. I wouldn't recommend nordette, I've have a few evil nordette bitch girlfriends until they switched. Triphasal and mercilon are lower dose pills with less side effects that didn't affect my wife badly. Some pills also make pms a nightmare to deal with. Maybe try a stronger pill for a month or 2 like nordette or diane35 and if she doesn't feel right try triphasal or mercilon which is the lowest dose pill.

My wife was on mercilon the last 18 months and it was by far the best for her. The injection is dangerous for your sex life, beware, most women do not experience as much sexual pleasure when on it as the high progestin/progesterone dose messes with that big time.

when was the last time u heard of a 20 year old getting the old snip down below :D

there's always a first one :D

though it would be better to go the route of her and the prospected "the pill" getting clinically tested to see which one is the better match imho.

Another biggie. Be careful when she uses any of those homeopathic medications (St. Johns Wortl Valerian based sleeping pills, etc.) a lot of them reduce the effectiveness of the pill but dumbarse pharmacy assistants think that because they're herbal they're no problem.

I wod also suggest she talks to her gyne about the pill but I'm just extra cautious about these things.

When my ex was on was the pill:

She was seriously moody,
Her sex drive went down,
When we did have sex, she wasn't lubricated enough,
She had bladder infections most of the time.

After that she stopped taking the pill (was on for about 6 months), don't know what brand she was on. We then switched to condoms. Took her body about 3 months to come right after stopping the pill.
