question for bikers

I start my bike, let it idle for about a minute, pull away.

Never intentionally rev it next to cars. Even caging beemer wnakers

I do however sometimes blip the throttle just for the sheer fun of it.

Nothing wrong with that, hell why not..
But when bikers rev the guts out of their bike, now that's a different story.

I have another question.

When you bikers start your bike, why do you rev the *** out of it?
Is it that the bike is a POS and you have to rev it so it doesn't stall or what?

ok that was 2.

Hell, if normal road cars had a RPM limit of 14,500 im sure most people would rev the sh*t out of it.

Also how else are they going to clean the carbon off the spark plugs? :p

Not to put too fine a point on it, but there are different meanings for the words biker and motorcyclist.

Biker (non-pedal):

Not sure what this is:

I have owned my bike for a little over 2 months now.

I have stalled at a few robots. its damn annoying. so now I give it a little rev while gearing down, or while stopped, just to make sure I don't stall, because I have not got the idling perfect yet, I am working on it though

the sound my bike makes, evokes a deep response in my loins that nothing else can come close to. I like hearing it. I dont like the music you plast from your GTI, but I don't create a thread about that now do I?

if you are driving a german car, chances are you don't know what indicators are. chances are you are an over entitled C*nt

but there is no way generalizing about something could offend a majority rather than a minority right?

on a side note, if you feel that every bike that comes past you in traffic does this maybe you should try and figure out where your wheels are with respect to the lane when this happens. you might find you are halfway into the next lane and you are the one being a C*nt.

personally if I ref my bike to make you move because you are being a c*nt I will also flip you off. but that is me, I do try and make it clear...

I think you took the question too personally :erm:

Stop paying attention to your phone or the blonde in the mini 2 cars over and get a wee bit more situational awareness. You wont get such a skrik when I go past then.

BTW, do you drive a german car?

So much anger...way to go missing the point.

I ride a bike every single day of my life. Which means I get to see a whole lot more of the blonde in the Mini than the poor sod in the german car.

Uhm...the bike should idle by itself. What are you riding?

the sound my bike makes, evokes a deep response in my loins that nothing else can come close to. I like hearing it. I dont like the music you plast from your GTI, but I don't create a thread about that now do I?

You get cocks in cars just like you get cocks on bikes. The common denominator is the cock in question, not the transport.

if you are driving a german car, chances are you don't know what indicators are. chances are you are an over entitled C*nt

So much assumption in this one it's hilarious.

Now that's something I can agree with. In many cases it's well deserved. However there are bikers who are just unnecessary obnoxious and give the rest of us a bad name.

*****

A large part of the animosity from cars is the fact that they falsely believe it's illegal for bikes to lane split. Once all car drivers get educated in that regard it should be a whole lot better and safer for those of us on two wheels.

But what about us German Bikers?

Seems like we're fked any which way :o

LOL. Another automotive thread that has degenerated into linking certain behaviour to certain cars

LOL.

I didn't mean it in a standing next to the road sense. I literally see BMW's with hazards on all the time when lane splitting.

Oh those morons  Probably the same bright sparks who put 7 different LED spots on their bike, all with an output of at least 3 suns so that they can be seen

O, I misunderstood then :p

Mine is mainly in Slick mode. No time to fiddle with damn indicators...
