Bar the trouble my new rig is giving me, running the new benchmark app raised a question.

It's based on a scale from 1.0 to 7.9

Everything except for my Primary hard-disk scored above 7.4

Now is this going to be a sliding scale based on hardware that is available at the time or will it just reach a point where all hardware is ranked 7.9?

It moves up when they feel the need to upgrade it. Vista's highest was at 5.9. I guess after a few months they will make it higher

Windows 7 gives me 5.9 but only because of my disk drives (SATA drives)

Windows can take this WEI and shove it up Neotel's ass! :D

My PC is a 9.9 in reality! ;)

5.9 on the drives as well and mine is a WD Black. :P
This isn't a benchmark that's for sure. It's probably just a lookup table of some sorts.

I got a 2.0 for windows aero performance. I have a HD3300. What exactly does Aero add that I currently cannot see? :P
