Questions about telkom line installation & wimax

hi guys,

i wonder if anyone can help me. firstly, i'd like to know if there's anyway to apply for a telkom line installation online. i went to telkom direct but no one was available to help me - the only lady who was actually working said she only handled payments.

secondly, are telkom still offering wimax? i'd much rather go this route as i don't need a landline. are there any other ISPs out there who offer wimax at a similar price (about R250 a month)?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! Jokes aside, Best of luck - judging from previous threads, Telkom do/don't (x 100), supply / not supply wimax anymore! It' damn difficult to get a straight answer even from a Telkom employee (with 30 years service).
Word on the street though is; they trying to push their Hauwei (3G) wireless as much as possible as more income extorted from unsuspecting public that way. Don't take it!
