Some time last night my signal seem to have gone awol. Decoder (dualview) keeps searching, rotating thru pas7/10/w4 . Signal strength on these between 47-52 and signal quality..........ZERO. Is there anything else I can check now, or do I get (or try to) someone out tomorrow to fix ? Tried other normal (single view) decoder , same prob

My DSTV went yesterday. It was searching for a signal and had 72 strength. Went outside and found the bracket on the dish was very loose. Realigned it and everything came back.

hmmm..........."realligned it".....now that's where my problem comes in :D /walks outside, stares at dish.....

Wiggle it around and have someone check the strength. Got mine working when the strengh hit 82.

Did you have someone checking if there was a change while you were doing it?. Took me a long while to get it right.

Anyway it was worth a check. I also considered calling in help. It would have been rather embarrassing if I hadn't checked the dish first and the guy come out only to realign the dish :o

:D

I once press "reset factory settings" and the signal problem came up.

The other times I just hit the damn thing with a broom (to many bushes under it). That worked. :D

Unless the neighbour has a quick-growing tree, it sounds like something is loose.

Perhaps the wind if the weather was bad because we had winds yesterday. That or the maid knocked mine out.

Unplug the power, wait 5 mminutes and gooi it back on. This is in effect a soft reset.

Failing that, if you have zero signal strength then check the cable. It might have pulled out of the plug at the rear of your decoder or at the LNB with all the wind we've had.
