Ive been experiencing an exasperating problem of late. I connect my dell pc, running bog standard xp, to the net using a usb cable and my galaxy S phone's tethering on the MTN network.
Now here's my problem: I cannot open up gmail. I can open up every other website on the planet at the same time that gmail just sits and hangs on "connecting" to accounts.google.com. The connection is not faulty because literally every other website I regularly visit, opens up.
Eventually I'll get a timeout message. Chrome, Firefox IE any browser does the same - everything works but Gmail wont open up.
Then 5 seconds later, I'll successfully open gmail on my work desktop via our company's internet and proxy so gmail is up.
Is this maybe some sort of problem at MTN? Any idea where to look and what to do? This is most frustrating.
