Quick question about htc tattoo

Can someone pleeese help me out. I want to take the htc tattoo on contract but I wanna find out a few things first:

1. Does it support always on push email?
2. Does it support always on instant messaging? (like gtalk on fring)
3. Can it make internet calls over skype or gtalk? (also like fring)

I'm using nokia email messaging on my e63 for push email and fring for im and internet calls so I want to make sure the tattoo can do all that before I take the plunge.

If someone can confirm these I would really appreciate it :)
 
it has actual google talk (its running google android) so you can have gtalk open all the time if you want (better than fring, its the real deal)

no idea about internet calls

it has push email with gmail.... im using that all the time on my hero, works awesome

seems fring is not (yet) available for android.
I use Nimbuzz though, also supports Google Talk and a horde of other protocols including Skype. Latest version was released yesterday, too.

And nimbuzz works on android?
 
Works nicely on my HTC Dream, I installed it from the Market.

I have not tested it extensively though, mostly just use it for google talk - got used to it on my 6120 classic
 
Cool, does it have the ability to run in the background? so someone can still im you while your phone is just sitting in your pocket for eg.
 
Yes, looks like it can.

Looks like it doesn't have all the features of the symbian version yet, though.
Mind you, it looks like the 1st android version was released 11-Aug-2009, so its still pretty new.

[edit] Riiight, just checked the blogs, apparently they are still working on adding voip to Nimbuzz.

what you mean by not all features of symbian???? its more and better !!!!

oops ok i see you talking about the symbian "version" of that app sorry

:( I dont see the tattoo on the nimbuzz site.

I can see the magic, hero and dream there but not the tattoo?

Does one just download the other htc version?
 
tattoo just so new, thats prob why its not listed yet. but if it works for magic and hero it will work for anything i say. its all about android. not the hardware
