Quick..should i buy Mass Effect?

Im looking for an engrossing game that has a good rpg element and deep customisation (spelling :))
I cant find Jade Empire anywhere or i would of gotten that
 
I've got an 8600M and it struggles on low settings. Its playable, but I never really got into it. I'll wait till I have some better hardware.

made me think - what hapend to the X900/X950GX2 in the 8 series?

it only went up to 8800 - no GX2 ? they skipped it it seems cause you get a 9 series GX2

you do realise how crap a 8500 card is compared to your card don't you ......
 
You can always buy a 360 and mass effect for the same cost as a decent card! :D

I am just saying that it is an option or she can go and buy a card first, which is a great idea if you are going to look at playing the latest games! :)
 
I'm playing mass effect on the pc now, and am loving it, its also on a grand scale (if not bigger and more detailed) like deus ex

Congratulations... The games really are full of sh*t at times. ITO specs that is. Cant tell you how many games I have bought where I had the minimum specs and I was still able to play it with decent settings!
 
Yeah thats true hey, they make sure that people can play the game, even on low specs. Anyway its a great game.
 
:) Its got so much atmosphere!
I can see myself getting very attached to my character.
It can get very confusing at first..so many menu's and stuff and the combat isnt that great..but so far i love it!
