Quickshare gone....

As many of our users may know, QuickShare is run at a major loss to the team but we do it because we absolutely love what we do. For a long time we have made our fair share of sacrifices to keep things running but with the incredible growth we have experienced over the last few months we have arrived at a place where we cannot keep things going with the current cost of bandwidth.

Anyone know of another similar local service? Ive become quite attatched to being able to upload files for friends when needed, was just about to do so again. Also pidgin with mxit plugin has file transfer, anyone know if it works well over local?

The only local upload service that I know of is www.zoopy.com, but unfortunately it only allows multimedia related files like videos, images, etc.
I'm not exactly 100% sure that everything on that site is hosted locally, but I'm pretty sure the contents are hosted locally!

What I can see is, it is hosted in South Africa. I use flag fox. And it thinks it is in SA.
 
it allso thinks tagged.com is hosted in sa but if it eva does manage to load only half of the site come through
