Hi

Noticed that a lot of noise from my pc is actually from my psu.

Now I'm on the search for something that's decently quiet or where the fan only spins when it's needed.

Will need to be at least 650w.

My case is a corsair carbide 100r which I think can only support a psu with a 120mm fan. Unsure on this though.

Any advice is welcome!

Thanks

Corsair has been whisper quiet for me for 4 years now. Tx750

Any idea if that will fit in my case?
140mm fan. Can't find anything online to tell me of my case can fit it.

Why would it not fit? Just because the fan is a different size does not mean the PSU is a different size. It says ATX PSU so it will conform to the ATX specifications. Compare it's dimensions to any other psu and you will see the width & height is standard while the length varies by a cm or two between brands/models.

You sure you want to buy the PSU though?
Have a look at,

What is the orientation of your PSU, sucking cool air from the bottom or sucking warm case air from the top?

Can definitely recommend Seasonic. The 660W one I got doesn't even spin the fan when the PC is idling.
