After 12 months of extreme drug use I decided to quit, however I'm always tired and hungry , is this normal? Its been a week now.

Um yes. You were up for most of that 12 months. Sleeping only when your body gave out. You ate little to nothing most weeks.

Your body is now catching up.

The hungry is likely your body picking up some weight again, you will stop looking like a broom in a coat soon enough :)

I personally suggest you get some good coffee in for the tired but don't drink any after 8 as you also need to get and keep a regular routine again and right now is a good time to get back into sleep patterns as long as you wake yourself up early each day.

Its normal that you have a crash when you come down from these drugs. Drink lots of water, eat lots of fruit and vegetables and get as much sleep as possible. You will feel much better in the next month or so, just stick it out.

1 very nice cup of coffee in the morning. No more or the nights will be hard. Keep busy find a hobby hiking MTB or something and go all in spending all your time riding and tinkering with your bike for example.

I have no idea what you're going through but enjoy life in UHD man it's so beautiful. ;)

Thank you guys will keep strong. There's no way I'll back and use again, I've lost ( past on ) friends who've been trying to meet up for drinks since I've started using, n now they are GONE forever! Also been distant to fam... So this is it! No more.

Misery loves company. Unsettled friends that still use - will secretly be jealous of your healing and believe it or not... will want to see you fall. You've made the right decision to bail on them. Keep your distance from them for at least a year after being clean. Thats if they're still around after that. One saving grace... You weren't on heroine. The "calling" for heroine apparently never goes away. Heroine addicts are always fettered by it... even 20 years after they broke loose.

Big ups to you. You got this.
