R1000 camera

Does anyone have one or can anyone recommend a camera in the R1000 range (pref R1000 or below)?

Some options are:
Nikon Coolpix S3100
Canon Powershot A2200
Canon PowerShot A3300 IS
Panasonic Lumix DMC-F2EG
Sony DSC-W530
Sony DSC-W520
Olympus VG-110
Olympus VG-120

Does anyone have any comments/advice?

I can't recommend any one but take a look as sacamera.co.za as they have some pertty good specials and your budget fits in nicely.

I would say (in budget), the Nikon S3100 or Sony DSC-W520...

I have a S3100. It charges through USB which is great, one less charger to worry about. Got a D7000 this weekend but I think it'll still be used a lot.

Used a friends s3100,
Good camera, but the battery doesnt last that long anymore and it doesnt use a normal micro usb cable.

If i were lookibg for a new camera it would have to use AA batteries and micro usb cable. U can always keep a spare set of batteries and any cable will work when downloading pics.

But my sony does that already.
Just buy a set of eneloops and youll be set.
