R150 electricity delivery charge explained

Jeez, this has ALWAYS been part of the monthly bill, it has to be shown itemized now. No news here.

Erm...no it has never been part of anything.

If you were on Prepaid you would know that because no electricity charges show up on your Rates & Taxes.

Now my Rates and Taxes have grown by exactly R150 for power and then X for the water levy story.

I don't pay it as my elec comes directly from eskom, through rest of bills is from COCT.

Most parts of tableview also gets elec from eskom and not COCT.

Does Eskom not change a electricity delivery charge or something similar?
Yeah connection charge, trough this is because I have 3 phase power, not sure of single phase. Rates is also cheaper than coct rates, I am on postpaid, not prepaid.

Is this added to the prepaid meter every month or is the owner paying it via levies/rates bill ?

It is becoming increasingly expensive to live in Cape Town. Not all of us are foreigners buying up property.
