R18,000 iPhone 6 Plus - rather buy this

I don't know how one can justify a phone for R18,000. My dad has a Pepstores phone for R50 and I have a Huawei Ascend P6 and its more then enough. Some people will never be pleased though...

I like iPhone and actually can call myself a iPhone fanboi but this is madness honestly. I have a iPhone 5. Best smartphone I had. Still have and still use it as a secondary phone but my new primary phone is a Samsung Galaxy S5. Nice device has all the features I want. Would be awesome to have a iPhone 6 but paying so much money is madness.

Seeing that you are experienced in both devices, which one is your favourite?
 
To pay so much for an iPhone 6 just to get it earlier is madness. I will get it when it launches through the official channels. For now I am sitting it out with my iPhone 4.

This is pure profiteering on the gullible and rich and I say they reserve every penny they can fleece from the idiots who buy it at that price.
 
Imagine paying that much for a phone only to be mugged the next day after receiving it.

Both... That's why I kept the iPhone. The S5 is so flexiable in terms of running say torrents and NZB's on which the iPhone can't do. The iPhone just has something to that makes me want to use it. Its aluminium and glass body makes is so desirable and comfortable to hold.

I must say though the iPhone is not safe for use while in bed. I was sending a whatsapp and fell asleep while texting and when it slipped from my hand chipped a piece of my tooth. Had to go to the dentist for a repair so I guess the samsung with the plastic body would have been a safer option. ;)

Both good devices and both have their own advantages. I can't pick a favourite though.

I see you also use your cell for torrenting.
I do about 35 to 40GB a month of torrents via my S4. (My USB OTG flashdrive is invaluable when copying to PC).
