Can someone tell me how VC can charge 50c in bundle for an SMS on the R25 bundle when the SMS is sent after hours??

After hours SMS's cost 35c yet on the 50 SMS bundle (@ R25) you get 50 SMS's even if sent after hours - so you pay more?!?

Doesn't make sense. They should fire the accountant who worked that one out.

That's how all bundles work, with minutes etc. Not much you can do about it.

My point is that bundle is dumb. They should charge for the 50 SMS bundle 50 * .35 = R17.50. We need to have more realistic prices for these bundles.

I know what you're saying. I pay R45 for 200 sms's, and all out of bundles msgs, peak or off peak are R0,35

They still make lots of money out of these bundles. If you don't use it all before the expiry date, they score. If you use some of it during off-peak times, they score. If you don't buy a bundle, they score. You just can't win :(

If it is correct to assume that an sms comprises about 160 bytes, then for the lowest bundle price of 23c per sms, that works out to about R1500 per MB...
