R4500 to spend on a new pc

I've got a budget of around R4500 to spend on a new pc. I already got a Xfx 9600gt and a Lcd moniter. What system would be best to get for that price range?

I saw a Q9300 Quad 2.5Ghz

Intel Gigabyte G31 Mobo (not happy with this)

2 Gigs DDr 800 ram

500 gig sata2

Going for R4500 at pc zone, is this worth it? or is there anything better?

Thanx for any help

Didnt you go for their birthday sale?

I agree that G31 mobo is nothing special. I got it with the E7200 2.53Ghz.

Ya I did but only got the money for the new pc after the sale was over .

Is Mitabytes sale over too?

Ya their sale is over too.

Pc Zone's offer isnt bad just wish I could upgrade the Mobo and Power supply on the system. Dont think they will allow me to though.

You are allowed to update the PSU, I don't know about Mobo but if you can at mitabyte you should be able to at PCZONE. Usually when they not having a birthday sale you are allowed to customized and change just about everything

You need to call them. They always customise my systems but I know the owners. But I'm sure that they can customise if you request

What's wrong with the Gigabyte G31?

There is nothing wrong with this M/B, does not have some of the functions of more expensive boards (those we hardly ever use) and does not overclock very well (the Q9300 does not overclock very well anyway), but is solid and stable performer out the box. You also get the 3 year Gigabyte warranty.

I also had some generic Gigabyte chipset board on my old P4. 4 years running and never had a single issue

I've got the Gigabyte G31. Other than limited expansion (just get 2 x 2GB :p), it's a great board. If you're going to be running everything stock, I can't see why anyone would need a more expensive board.

I think i'll get that motherboard, looking more for reliability and performance than overclocking.

Might just go for the Pearl or Buffalo creek version of the intel board so can have support for 1066 ram
