how is that pricey? iv been searching everywhere and this is pretty much the best deal iv found, gonna try running windows 7, what u think? maybe stick to xp?

I think that pc will perform very well for its price , and its not pricey at all considering some people blow +R20000 on a pc! Get windows 7 it will run nicely on that setup - make sure you get 64 bit though ! But maybe get an gigabyte odin from prophecy for the same price as that psu - just check how much powe you need by googling power supply calculator and using that result +30% for your psu requirement

Pc int us about as good as it gets for us regular people who dont live near a pc zone or have dealer accounts

Lookd perfect to me hey, also the pricing is insane, cannot believe that 4850 is 1.1k inc vat. INSANE.

thanks, spoke to a friend and he said i can do better on the MOBO and PSU, any suggestions?

Are you going to be overclocking or running cards in SLI or Crossfire? (though I think your board does have Crossfire)
If not - then you don't need another board.
That would really be fine for a while to come.

PSU, 500watt should be more than ample.
I've got basically the same setup, only with a P43 chip set and an extra 250GB SATA and my GPU is now changing from the 8500GT I sold to the 8800GTS 320mb I'm now putting in when I get home today :)

he said i can get a descent mobo for about R1000 and for a bit more get a better psu, would like to be able to play around with overclocking at some stage. if for R200-R300 i can get a much better mobo i will go for it.

Ah ok, then maybe the P5Q Asus mobo at Pcint?
Though it's not much of a jump, only a few more USB Ports and 2 SATA ports.
Better sound I think...

I mean the memory you're looking at - how hard could you push it?
The E7400 can take a knock from your current mobo consideration or the step up.
