R9 270x Driver

I have just bought an R9 270x Saphire. I recall a couple of months back there were driver issues causing the fans to get locked at a fixed speed, causing the cards to be damaged. I would like to know if anyone could please recommend the correct driver to use.

Just download the catalyst control center and it will upgrade you to the newest and correct driver.

I would recommend the new crimson 16.2 driver ,the fan issue has been fixed with 16.1 hotfix driver.

I have that card too but I've got 15.12 installed. What's the difference between it and 16.2? I prefer stability over beta versions ...
