Race Driver: GRID (absolute awesomeness!)

WOW, judging from this preview by oxm I'm really getting turned on by this game. This is a racing game that's set to hit the Xbox 360 (not sure when) and possibly could be Forza 3's direct rival ().

Have a read through the preview and take a look at the pics, specifically this one, WOW! Now in Forza 2, the still images uploaded to the Forza Community site are degraded somewhat from the ingame stills so I'd assume the same holds with GRID, that being said this game look unbelievable to me and can't wait for more details on it.

did they post the video? It's over at Gametrailers.

It looks awesome, and diRT put GRiD at the top of my must play list. My only 'fear' is that they're dropping the sim components to appeal to a wider audience which would be a travisty in my book.

Yeah I'd also be majorly bummed if it was just another pretty arcade racer. :(

I'll check out gt.com now..;)

Well I don't know about "Forza 3", but turn 10, the developers have recently begun hiring for their next big thing.

Being a dedicated driving game studio I can only imagine it's either Forza 3, or they've been given the reins for PGR5. Or better yet, what if they've been given mandate to merge the two . . . .

Well I don't care what they give us, as long as it's a pretty racing simulator with tons of cars and customization.

Heck, Forza 2 is alive and kicking, just check out the 360 forums, we've got our own huge thread over there. :D

I love forza, there is hands down no other 'game' as realistic from a driving dynamics perspective and I love that, but it feels a bit "1.5" rather than proper Next gen when standing next to DiRT or PGR4.

I'm very interested to see where they take it.
