In all my posts, I say you gotta educate people and that's the ONLY way things will get levelled out.

It's such a sad pity that our candidates here in SA are nowhere near the level of intellect that the US candidates are. When I think of SA politicians, "one tracked mind" is the common trait that springs to mind.EDIT. Nice sig lsuacner.

And who are you to judge intellect :D ? If GW Bush is a measure of some sort then I rest my case:D

Rather him than say Mbeki or Zuma. The Iraq war aside, which I agree with him with (get oil at any cost) what can you hold against him? America was the deciding force when the NP decided to abandon apartheid, it is the deciding force to bring democracy to Iraq. Bush is running his country much better than any African country, some European countries also.

The key word there being the 'deciding force' :D
Mbeki has at least double the size of Bush's intellect :D

pollution, congestion, oil price etc learn to think out of the box dude...
You want out of the box? Okay... how about sponsoring the Eskom initiative to build electric vehicles, and use those as taxi's? Now that surely is out of the box thinking, isn't it? :)

Mbeki is very badly advised. He is aloof, never in the country and responds far too late to things and in a rash manner.

Bush has too many advisors. In fact he could be a tub of lard and still do his presidential duties. That's not to say his advisors are always right - but they have a formiddable collective intellect.

No one can sort this country overnight. The damage done is so huge that it will take decades.
Looking at the economic growth trends over the past thirty years, it is very clear to see that economic change does not happen over night. The country's econmy started negative growth in the late 70's until the 90's when it started stagnating only now in th early 2000's that it has started growing positively again. The good thing is that this trend is set to continue for at least another decade. If you look at proposed gvt and private sector investment coming up in the following years you'll realise that this country is on the right track economically. However there are real challenges like crime and skills shortages, that might slow down the growth...
With econmic growth and public and private sector investment comes jobs for the unemployed and upliftment for the poor....
If you want to judge the current policies then be fair and judge them based on the economic indicators i.e. strength of the currency, levels of interest rates, GDP growth, etc...

If i may ask...What "damage" was done??..As far as i know, we were ranked one of the BEST in millatary, educationally, weaponary, and apparently had "Some of the best" scientists....and also....everyone ( especially the kids ) go overseas because they cant get decent jobs here anymore, the ppl are on a "crime spree", etc etc ??
The BIGGEST problem off all lacking this country...DISSIPLINE!!

Another apologist for apartheid national socialism. You clearly existed in a bubble. While it might have been good for the 5 million odd whities, the rest of the black population lived with very few(if any) comforts.

Please man, if this is the best you can come up with than your struggle against the ANC government will be a long one.
Your response lacks any coherence and to cap it all it all off you refer to a rightwing blog to re-inforce an already flawed argument.

Clearly they don't teach comprehension at the local library.

Average IQ of a South-African is 72. You think Mbeki has at least an IQ of 100? 70 is classified as a retard (Educable Mentally Retarded). Average IQ of an American is 98.

I agree, a person in the position of the President, is as good as the people who advise him, all the President has to do, is to weigh the quality of the advice and the person.

Yes, though more comfort than the African presidents provided their own people. Would you have preferred an African president in 1970 over the NP?

Robin Hood is right. The government is stirring up a revenge mentality in the majority.
And in the minority, where racism did not exist before tension and racism is created by the racist policies imposed.

This whole IQ thing strikes me as somewhat suspicious. Is it a coincidence that the average American (and incedently the average white persons IQ) is pretty much the average? Seems to me that IQ tests are biased towards white people or at least a certain level of education.

And yes I would guess that Mbekis IQ is at least 100 and that, whatever it is, it is probably higher than Bushes.

As to advisers, Bush has **** ones apparently considering the decisions he makes.

Besides which, Bush has a much easier job running a country that pretty much runs itself compared to SA which is still developing.

Best not to compare the two presidents at all really. They have completely different job descriptions.

What is that.

One is to ruin the world (In Many of Your Eyes)
The other is the Fsuck up Africa and South Africa.

Must be biased towards white people. It is the agenda of every white man to oppress.
I get very annoyed with these accusations.
People in Hong Kong has the highest IQs, China (representing 1 billion people) is rated 5th. So it must be Asians now, trying to oppress the whites, who in turn try to..

Furthermore, Bush made a good decision to invade Iraq, they got oil out of it, a country became a democracy, they have a military presence in the Middle-East.
What decisions did Bush make, with which you do not agree with?

America is 50 times bigger than RSA, must be easier to run the leading country in the world rather than say South-Africa.
rofl.

Another thread that has gone astray.
