Us white people are forced to take a lot of crap in SA. Since only white people are apparently racists...

We are expected to shut up about MTN's new TV commercial making whites out as being a bunch of morons that "can't dance" as good as black men. This may be an old "joke", but it is in fact directly insulting white men to their face. The ad attacks my skin colour, generalising, saying I can't dance because I'm white, but indirectly states that black men can dance better than white men. With a sarcastic (apparently) black man "making fun" of the white men dancing to a Mandoza song who act like a bunch of black man wanabes. But us white people allow like this on TV because we 'victimised the blacks' for so long and we 'feel guilty' about our actions. I don't feel guilty. I was a fking child when apartheid ended. I AM SICK OF ALL THE RACIST BLACKS WHO THINK THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY WHATEVER THEY CHOOSE ABOUT WHITE PEOPLE!

I mean WTF are they thinking implying that white men can't jump. Bloody racist pigs :D

Black men do have more rhythm than white men.
 
It is a stupid TV advert.... I don't think that it is in good taste.

Imagine a TV advert that laughed at how black people can't speak English ? It would be banned... its the exact same thing.

The ad where it starts off "frozen" on the guys dancing and then comes in with Mandoza?

I thought that was really quite funny. I wish we could all just laugh at ourselves in these stereotypical situations.

I can understand that what irks you is probably because it would not be acceptable to make fun of black people in this way. Honestly though, there seems to be far more serious forms of discrimination happening out there. That's where the real problems lie in my opinion.
 
Or an ad about the way black men smell when they walk past a white man in the supermarket and the white man clinching his nose. The ad would be banned in no time.

You guys are known to dance to the words and not the music and cant jump etc...
Advertising exploits those things across all races.
Like that seeeeriiiious ad...
Same concept and the Cell C ad with Woza wheneva
 
I haven't seen this ad as I watch stuff on the PC 99% of the time, which have no stupid ads....

If I may still comment on this - stop worrying about an advert that suggests you can't dance - who cares really?

seriously now....

PS I agree with the advert though...black people DO have more rhythm! i'd never be able to move my feet as quickly as they do!

Yea but that same white man can afford to bath twice or even 7 times a day, so in all honesty you sound like a bitter white man who has a chip on his shoulder.

It's an ad mocking white people's dancing so what, geez i will bet white people came up with idea :D

That vodacom ad right with that white dude dancing like beyoncee, was that racism or mocking gays or what? No it was just a flippin funny ad. You should watch a chris rock comedy show to lighten you the F up dude.
