I think ATI are making sure that there's no comparison between the 5770 and the 5830/5850 performance wise like with the 4770 and 4830/4850.

If this card is cheap I think its pretty awesome... like a 4870 with DX11, shader model 5 and Eyefinity

It's only a good buy if it's at around R1500. Otherwise get a 4870.

stupid cpu bottlenecked it so now have to install a new one first
