Rage is finally upon us.

Would be cool if we could start a list of who is going (to the lan, and to the expo) and weather its you first time or if you've been before

I wasn't able to get tickets for the lan (glitchy computicket :( ) but will definitely be at the expo all weekend long.

If there is anything you are particularly interested in let us know.

p.s if someone has an extra ticket dibs

Meh, that expo is so overcrowded you can't really see anything.

I'm going for the first time, duno what to expect

Lots of rich, spoiled schoolboys, half-nekkid Korean girls promoting hardware to said rich kids, and creepy cosplay nerds posing for photos. Also some kind of LAN game going on in the background.

The hardware stalls are the most interesting part, although as has been said they're usually very crowded. But you can find some decent specials on components, games and consoles sometimes if you have the patience.

Also there's a big screen and some seats where publishers talk about upcoming games, show footage and such. It's worth going usually but these days it seems the focus is more on the LAN (ironic since we have proper internets now) Only about half the dome is the actual show, the rest is the LAN area.

Im going to the DGC and will definitely make a turn at the expo. Might even consider one or two specials depending on what they are...

Going to be leaving Thursday morning from CT and coming back next weekend. I have been to the NAG lan once before, and it was loads of fun, but this year, will be new for me too competing in the DGL for BF3.

I've been going to Rage nag lan since 2005 this year will be the 1st year where i'll only be going to the expo.
I'll be honest since 2005 the rage nag lan and expo has gone downhill a bit In my personal opinion.
The expo is overcrowded most of the time like already mentioned and last year I was looking for specials but I could not find anything which I could not buy online for the same price or better price.
The expo has also become smaller and smaller as the years went by. I’m pretty sure it won't take you more than 30 min to walk through the expo this year.

As for the nag lan it has become bigger and bigger which most people will think is a good thing. Well it is if you going to the lan mainly to leech movies, series, music etc ,you will find everything you want and more on the dc++ servers they host there. But if you like me who goes mainly to have an awesome gaming experience it not that great.
From all the leeching which takes place the network becomes slow games drop, people drop from games because they think they can leech and play games at the same time. I honestly think you’re better off staying at home and just playing online.

So what me and my friends are doing this year, we going to be lanning at a friend’s house over his adsl line. We are going to the expo on Saturday to see if there is anything worth buying.

Hope I'm not spoiling it for any 1st timers.:D

I'll be there on Friday when its hopefully less crowded. Been going to the expo for years. Still want to do the LAN one day.

The massive crowd in a very small space makes it less enjoyable every year but I still find myself looking forward to it.

Awesome! I will send her my Cell no tonight on Steam. Gonna be nice to meet her EVENTUALLY...

*Note to self do not call her a b1tch... :D

i'll be there, i'll be there. First time this year. only for the expo though.

Cannot wait :)

I'm going for the expo. It will be my second visit the first one being in 2010.

Looking forward to trying out Halo 4 and the new Medal of Honor. I'm dead broke so I'll be missing out on the specials. I hope they have the steering wheel setup for F12012, it's fun to play with no traction control and manual gearbox. I'm not even going close to FiFa 13 as I don't want my backside handed to me by 12 year-olds :)

My biggest gripe about the expo is that they have never had a schedule of what's happening. Every time I go it feels like I'm walking through a flee market and leave 45mins later from boredom.

Even sexpo has a schedule!

The expo is over rated. The DGL games are played on the other side of the dome and you cant go and watch them. The only way is if you are playing in the DGL or your friend, the you can go and watch. The big screen is a nice idea for the DGL games to view them on. If you go over seas, there big comp players play on the stage, where u can sit and watch them play on the big screen. For the expo, they have lots of stuff that is showed every year. If the can make the expo bigger and have the DGL in the expo where every one can go and watch them play for a half a mill, and if they can get over seas players to play there ,like the one year where Fatal1ty played on the cool Painkiller game. That will make a nice expo.

That was the best one to date. I think it might have been the same year they had the CS finals on the stage, at the expo, with a big screen and a shoutcaster.

I am going for the first time for the expo! Pretty keen, hopefully can score a good deal on a decent graphics card there :) Dunno what the chances of that happening are though. Are there reasonable deals on pc hardware there?

Keen to check out screenings of upcoming games as well! So Bloc Party on Friday, Rage on Saturday. Purrrrfect weekend.
