Now that its done, what did you guys think about it?

I liked it. Seeing FarCry3, Hitman, MoH and few other unreleased titles were pretty awesome.

Also picked up some hardware at good prices.

It was the biggest rAge I've been to so far (been to three) and it was good but not great. There were tons of games to play and see, lots of hardware and software sellers and also, just general great geek culture.

However, standing almost an hour in the line just to get in was not awesome and the numbers of the crowd was just ridiculous! There were so many people, had to shove my way past the people to get anywhere or see anything! Also, the complete lack of any hardware specials was a real let down, the prices were exactly the same if not more than on the sellers regular websites.

So this will have been my last rAge sadly, it's like i told a friend of mine, it's become more geared towards the high school crowd that want to buy cheap COD games

My thoughts on rage:

I paid 350 rand to get to rage, I get shunted from piller to post when I get there as nobody can tell me which entrance to go into.That was a good hour and half of walking around trying to get my freaking pc in....

Oh and the network problems, our entire section kept dropping out and they assured me they were "working on the problem", this was down for about 4 hours on friday evening....

When the network finally came up I tried to play a game of League of Legends with my friends, the game updated at like 2 KB/s and when it finally loads it lost connection to the server every 2 min with horrible lag to boot....

Then I tried to sleep under the table at rAge but every 5 min the entire gaming hall thought it would be good to scream out "WOOOOOHOOOOO'


Went home and had a decent sleep,came back the next day, picked up my stuff and went back to my house to have a proper gaming LAN.

rAge was such a fail.

I and my friends were at the dome for the expo on Saturday then we saw the lines of people standing to get in. That’s where we turned around and went home; by the looks of it we didn't really miss anything.

Network problems same as the year before and no special hardware prices you could not find online same as previous year and massively overcrowded.

They should get a bigger venue for rage + instead of increasing the amount of people at the open lan they should decrease it because it seems since the open lan went over 2000 people there is network problems every year now.

The NAG LAN has connection issues every single year.

Luckily we played at the DGL Champs and we did a speedtest getting 90mps down and 60mps up.

No issues there.

I wont go to rAge again.

Too small. You can see everything in 45 minutes. The stands are boring. Not enough entertainment to get me to go again.
The foods over priced. I dont know what going on because there is no schedule. I expected specials but nothing blew my socks off.
The cos play kids are creepy.

This year was a real let down imo.

I went with people that had never been before and they where impressed with it...

Might of been because one of the guys won a chassis

But yeah was bored there!

Got there on Saturday morning. Couldn't get parking. Security kept telling me and the other cars to keep moving to the next parking area. Eventually we found ourselves exiting the dome parking area completely. I finally found parking at the mall, walked to the dome, saw the incredibly long queue and went home.
