Hey guys i have a big problem :)

i have a raid setup with 2X250 gigs, now somehow my computer lost that these were raided and wouldn't detect my drives, so i re-raided them, now my "500 Gig" is empty and requires to be formatted to be used.

Is there any way i can get it back to how it was...

Plz i need help :)

thanks guys

Don't you just love using schools 512 adsl for everything but school :D

Nerd, well i dont need to know why really, just need to know how to recover it.

If you need it spelled out in crayon here goes. You nixed your data when you "re-raided" the drives. In other words:
Your data is dead. This array is no more! It has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet his maker! It's a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace!
If you hadn't nailed it to the enclosure it'd be pushing up the daisies!
It's metabolic processes are now history! It's off the twig!
It's kicked the bucket, It's shuffled off this mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!!
THIS IS AN EX-ARRAY!!

metabolic processes?

Nah: try to get hold of Ontrack Easy recovery professional, should fix you up in a jiffy ;)

RE RAIDED THEM?

as in it said all data will be deleted reraided?

if you did that your stuffed my man everything is gone

dont run raid for your main storage your setting yourself up for big problems

You should have used the "Import Foreign Disks" option. That reads the RAID table on the disks and uses the disks ID's to redo the RAID.

all i did was redo the raid, it asks me to format it now, all i wanted to do is make them one HDD again
..

as far as i know redoing the hdd it asks you if you want to erase the data you click yes data erased forever
