Hi,

I've done a quick Google, but I know there are people here who are in Corporate with extensive knowledge about these kinds of things.

We currently have RAID 6 in our SAN. I have been told that RAID 10 isnt faster but from what I can see on the web it is considerably faster.

We have multiple SQL DB's which are running day and night, so performance increases are on the lookout.

Worth the change from RAID 6 to RAID 10?

Edit : was able to find this as a reference http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/sas-6gb-raid-controller,3028-12.html

Yes it is not only faster but you have extra redundancy, up to 4 drives can fail.
Just remember you essentially half your storage capacity.
