Hi guys, I am considering getting the Raidmax Thunder RGB 535W Power Supply for my PC. Has anyone had any experience with this specific PSU or Raidmax PSU's in general.
I've done some searching and the results seem to be split down the middle. Some people saying it works perfectly fine and other reporting it blowing itself up and some instances even taking other components down with it.

It's cheap on Takealot now

Like Lupus said its cheap now on Takealot and I need to replace my current PSU. The one I have now is some unknown brand that I got with the 2nd Coolermaster case that I bought.

And it has RGB which gives +35 FPS

Im not too keen on the RGB side but I do like the fact that is semi-modular. If I can get +35 extra FPS then thats just a bonus :)

Rather save a bit more and buy something that won't self-ignite and burn your house down.

Use the PSU hierarchy as a guide to see which models are good and which are likely to cause you some hassle down the road:

For your budget, perhaps look at Super Flower or the like

So is it just this model or is Raidmax a brand that should be avoided?

How much does it costs ? I still have working PSU from ASUS, not the ROG series, no, just usual P50G-A or so from like 2008 and it's works wonders, what's in that case please ? Does it have some good power efficiency anyway or not ? Thanks.
