Hello Friends

So tomorrow is the last day of my 1000mbps fibre - it's been a good ride. Moving to a new place next month which won't have fibre. How are people finding Rain 5G Premium with regards to speeds, and are there any limits with regards to download limits? Can't seem to find much online about this.

I think you need to be a little realistic here.

No mobile service will ever compare to a 1000mbps line. So what ever service you get remember this one point.

Yes, what Ramiro said is true.
Below is an extract from my log file, taken while doing a speed test. This is data reported by the Huawei modem itself. I am trialing the premium service:

My download speed peaked at 100 Mbit/sec.
I suspect this is heavily dependent on signal strength. My signal strength, at -90 dBm is quite good but I think that to take full advantage of the premium service I would need a signal strength of at least -80 dBm. But even then, as Ramiro said, it is unlikely to come close to a 1000 mBit/s fibre optic connection.

Everything depends on your use case. My link is shared between four people. My daughter, who obsessively watches Youtube and Netflix and works by teaching English online. My two grandchildren are gaming fanatics(what's new) and in between games watch Youtube(I despair of this generation) while I do a great of programming which means I continually consult online documentation and search Google.

For my use case the Rain 5G service works rather well. Each person has a different use case and should choose a service accordingly.

Of course not lol. I was more talking about the download amount limits. I need something where I can do 2-3 TB a month without issues. 100mbps is perfectly acceptable for most things.

How much data per month are you consuming?
