Rain and storm for Cpt pt 2

The only consolations are a few semi-dry periods, less intense rainfall per event, and time to unblock drains. The downside is the very high water table and soil saturation. Oh, and all the dams will be full by the end of July...

Edit: And it's raining again. Miserable, but not really cold enough for low-level snow.

My roof leaked for a bit last night wind was howling and it was raining hard, when the wind went quiet it also stopped raining in, so I must check to see what's broken when the rain finally stops.

It could be the shortest thread on the forum this month. Starts on Mon 15th, ends the same day. Thread necro on Tues 23rd.
Looks like we'll at least have a dip in swell size. Hope there's a bluish patch somewhere. With all the runoff it's been pretty dirty right around the point.

What time will the rain end today? Wife needs to hang out the laundry

Wild conditions up Mont Rochelle this morning. 10cm or so with higher drifts in places, the snow line was around 1300m.

Interesting. SAEON Dwarsberg at 1200m showed +2C this morning (currently +4C). I guess snow flurries can fall slightly below the freezing level, and Franschhoek is a few km further away from the ocean. I hope to see snow in the distance early on Monday, when the skies clear. Shouldn't be any more rain to wash away the snow, unlike last week.

OMW, the figures for Theewaterskloof have just updated (5am on Mon 15th) and the level has reached 98%, up from 93% on Saturday, and 68% a week ago! The inflow rate has declined substantially, but it is likely to overflow within the next day.

Of the other dams, Voelvlei is always the laggard, but is currently at 76%, up from 64% last week, and still rising steadily. At this rate it will take a month or two to fill.

Enough time to get some sunshine on my washing. Had the first batch out on the washing line before the sun was up, to get maximum sunshine. 3 loads later and all the washing is up.

Thanks for the reminder, it looks like clear skies now but the forecast implies it will be overcast for most of the day?
