Cant help it man. When the moon is that bright things happen. And yes, it was cold, not as cold as the one time in Russia, but still cold.

The snow is quite widespread, but only on the highest peaks (above 1200m). This morning's satellite view covers the area from Jonkershoek to the Swartberg, and the Cederberg and Sutherland. Areas further east still had cloud cover.

That full moon was rather nice, what a day today after how miserable it was last night.
It doesn't seem quite as cold tonight either.
Was it an automatic?
Is this the one that was featured, years back, about people sliding over the edge?

Dead body left down other side of the cliff south side for awhile.
Is quite dangerous if there is an ice layer underneath the fresh snow- easy to keep sliding off.

My app forecast initially projected an afternoon of fairly heavy rain starting 2-3pm till early eve. A good few hours on Thursday too....Strong winds, but not much rain predicted:

But, it's been sunshine for most of the day Fish Hoek side only recently have skies started to darken and cloud over with fairly strong gusts of wind.
Decent rain looks highly unlikely, perhaps a meek drizzle at best.
